I am excited to talk to you about a new local media venture that will launch in late August. In a lease agreement with Perry Atkinson and TheDove we will debut a The Ace Sports Radio, AM 1300/FM 107.9 and streaming live on theacesportsradio.com. The Vegas Stats and Information Network, VSiN, will be our Network affiliate featuring Brent Musburger some of sports radio’s top new shows. And a regional and local line up unlike anything the Rogue Valley has heard before. The Rich Eisen show 9am to noon features the former SportsCenter and current NFL Network host and top sports and pop culture guests. 1-3pm weekdays we will “Tee It Up Southern Oregon with Joe Brett.” Our live local show that will showcase the wide range of sports stars and personalities of our region with the day’s top sports news. From 3-6pm former Oregonian sportswriter John Canzano will host his show “The Bald Faced Truth.” Nowhere will you find better insights on the Blazers, Pac-12, Ducks and Beavers than BFT. It will be a huge hit. Live sports includes NFL, NCAA, NBA, and major golf championships from Westwood One as well as our top games from the Table Rock Sports match-ups each week. Weekend shows from Talk Media Net will include American Outdoors, Amazing Americans, and The BBQ Guys Network.
It’s a bit of a gamble, and it’s going to require the support of our sponsor base and others to make it go. But what a great opportunity to keep local media alive, and to celebrate all that is awesome with sports.
